Organic Greek Oregano Seedse Greek Oregano is a hardy, perennial heirloom variety. This type is the spiciest and earliest producing oregano. It is a tender plant with tiny flowers and an abundance of fragrant leaves with a very true oregano flavor. This plant produces dark green leaves with white flowers, it starts out small, but grows to be a good sized bush (2 x 4 feet) and prefers well drained soil. This variety of oregano will winter over in mild areas of the north, if mulched properly, and works well as an ornamental. Best to plant indoors 4 – 6 weeks before transplanting outdoors in spring. Oregano can also be planted directly outdoors after the soil temperature reaches 70 degrees.
